New Raman Analyser from Renishaw - VIRSA

Raman Virsa Analyzer is a versatile fiber-optic Raman spectroscopy system designed for reliable, detailed remote analysis. It allows the expansion of Raman Spectroscopy applications to a new range of samples and environments beyond the confines of a laboratory Raman microscope. The versatile system offers several options for users to customize their system to meet their needs. The Virsa Raman Analyzer system includes a spectrometer with one or two internal lasers - the dual excitation option allows the user to avoid fluorescence by switching between one-button wavelengths.

Users also have the option of Video Fiber Probes (VFPs) - VFP10 for general and mass sampling and / or VFP20C for high spatial resolution confocal measurements. Renishaw-supplied VFPs can be used separately or stacked to share a common objective lens to allow simultaneous analysis at different laser wavelengths.

Virsa Raman Analyzer takes up little space. Can be used on a workbench or standard 19 ”rack mount, offering the transportable option not currently offered by Renishaw's existing product line.

We see tremendous potential for adopting Raman in a wide range of diverse applications that will be made possible by the flexible nature of a fiber-based system.

Virsa Raman Analyzer supports a variety of tests. It can also be integrated into third party systems, allowing users to analyze samples using two or more techniques at the same time without having to transfer them between instruments. Additional sampling options are available, including the SB100 three-axis positioner, immersion probes and macro sampling kits.
